5680 T – Schäffer's new articulated telescopic wheel loader

Schäffer’s new pivot steered tele handler, the 5680 T, was seen for the first time in the UK at The Livestock Event in July, strengthening our market position as the supplier with the broadest range of articulated telescopic wheel loaders in the world.

With a working weight of 4.3t to 4.5t, the new 5680 T follows the great success of the 6680 T, which has consistently outperformed its competitors. The 5680 T offers many of the same benefits as the class-leading 6680 T, but has a lower cabin height, making it an ideal choice for working in lower buildings. The 5680 T offers comfort for long working days with a generously sized cabin. The high seating position along with the windscreen pulled into the roof and without the usual cross bar give an excellent all round view.

The High Traction Force drive system (HTF) contains a high-performance variable displacement pump with a higher operating pressure and improved efficiency. This has increased its thrust power by 20 %.

The new loader is driven by a 55 kW (75 HP) Deutz turbo diesel engine of the latest generation, and complies with emission standard IIIB. It uses a diesel oxidation catalyst that eliminates the need for a diesel particle filter. Because all the components in the hydrostatic drive are perfectly matched to each other, the fuel consumption is converted into performance economically and effectively.

The maintenance-free articulated steering makes the loader more manoeuvrable than any front loader tractor. The inner turning circle is only 1.58 m, and the rear swing axle provides excellent ground following and stability. The maximum lifting height of the new telescopic wheel loader is 4.25 m. The telescopic arm contains “Ferro-Form” sliding elements. In contrast to other, more usual plastic elements, this material is very low-wear, and there is no need for constant lubricating.

The 5680 T can be delivered with a protection roof instead of the cabin, upon request.
